so, um, this isn’t an easy post to write.

basically, my father is blackmailing me. he’s holding a considerable amount of money - which i need for food and other living expenses, because i’m in pretty dire financial straits - over me conditional to a list of behaviours he wants me to exhibit. the list includes:

“you’re not to badger us about your various issues / life-style choices / gender position, etc.”

he doesn’t want me to talk about being trans*. he doesn’t want me to try to get my parents or other people to stop misgendering me. he doesn’t want me to go to my gender identity clinic appointment in august. he doesn’t want me to be able to talk about my depression, my autism, or my disability.

this isn’t particularly surprising for my father. what’s frightening this time is that he’s using money to try to control me. i’m really, really scared that if i try to live according to my gender, or try to manage my mental and physical disabilities in ways he doesn’t approve of, he’ll withdraw that money and leave me with no way to eat or pay bills.

so. i hate, hate, hate doing this, but i’m asking for donations. anything - anything - you can contribute would be so incredibly helpful. right now i’m just trying to squirrel away enough that i’ll be able to pay my medication and food costs, as that’s what i need to keep me alive. i feel awful asking anyone else for their hard-earned money, but i don’t know where else to turn right now.

if i could draw, i’d offer commissions, but since i can’t, there’s some other stuff i could do if you’d like! i could:

write a fic for any fandom we share

make graphics for any fandom

cover any song coverable with voice/ukulele/piano

record a reading of a fic or part of a book

so yeah, that’s that. if anyone donates anything i will literally cry with gratitude. if you can’t afford to donate, please consider reblogging this? any signal boost would help so much.

Father has summoned me now and again for discussions, but that goes only so far. My first guess when this computer arrived was that he’d sent it as an easier method of communication, but I’ve not actually heard from him since. Then again, it has only been a few months.
I admit to mixed feelings about his death myself, but… he knew your purpose before you were born. We’re both rather more irritated with our uncle.

He most certainly cannot be rushed, that I will admit. No doubt he will contact you in time.

Well…tell him that I thank him for my existence. And I can understand your annoyance with Loki, and I have never understood why he was not punished instead of Hodr, though that is hardly my question to ask.

Well — it was Hodr’s hands with my blood on them. And Loki was punished later, once they worked out what had happened, which is how I have Nari and Vali — the other Vali, obviously — as companions as well as Hodr.

Feuds are inherently messy.

Feuds are inherently confusing. So, Loki was punished by having his children removed from him? I see the logic in such a punishment, though it must be a difficult one to bear.

Perhaps not so rare as he aged - he was much better disposed to peace after that war.

*laughs* not often, and if he does then usually he has left it almost to the point of no hope - the war with Jotunnheim, for instance. Although he took my advice a step too far and conquered the Jotunn, when I was trying to achieve a truce.

He always was rather headstrong *Frowns* I suppose none were hurt during the war with Jotunnheim, other than the Jotunn?

They are Midgardian themselves, or at least half so, and no uncommon problems have arisen so far.

Isn’t that the way with all Aesir? *chuckles* thankfully none too severely, though I was surprised when Odin took Loki into his family - it is rather unlike most warriors to show mercy. Still - it was a good deed.

Perhaps when they are older they could visit Asgard? If they wish to, of course - I doubt there would be any objections to a brief visit on the Aesir’s behalf

Well, he’s loose, which much to everyone’s relief has been less eventful than it could be.

He and Sigyn did very kindly retrieve me from the other universe I fell into. Which was having its own upheavals when I got there, so it’s possible that I feel things have been more exciting than is actually the case at home.

His behavior is kinder than before? Less…troublesome?

Do you fall between universes often, Roskva? That does sound rather exciting.

He’s… much as he was before, much of the time, which can actually be a little disconcerting. He hasn’t murdered anybody else, if that’s what you mean. He is also trying to avoid drawing too much attention, either from Odin or from any Jotnar who might be in a hurry for Ragnarok.

Heh. Fortunately, no. That was the first time and so far only, and we’re still not sure why there was a rift there. (Now there’s a door instead, so there will be no further accidents with that one.) I’m not sorry to have met the people I did, but I prefer the less confusing introductions.

That’s very sensible of him… attention is definitely the last thing he needs. And the lack of murder is always a nice thing to hear.

Rifts between worlds? Sounds like something out of science fiction…
